Sladjana Baljak

Sladjana was born some time ago in Zadar, in the beautiful region of Dalmatia in the SFR of Yugoslavia. Her interest in chemistry developed during a year and a long cold winter in Canada in Mr. Platt’s chemistry class. With that knowledge back in Europe she studied chemistry at the Universität Hamburg and UCD Dublin in Prof. M. McGlinchey’s group, obtaining her Diploma in chemistry, under the supervision of Prof. J. Heck working on NLO-materials. Feeling the time was right again to move countries she started her Ph.D. in the Manners’ group to hopefully make some organometallic polymers….
