Max Erhard

Max was born in Hamburg and grew up in Berlin. At the age of 16 he went to Monmouth (Wales) to do A-levels. He went back to Germany to study chemistry at the TU München. In his Master Thesis with PD Dr. Rainer Jordan he was working on the surface-initiated photo polymerisation of vinyl monomers. Since end of 2008 he is doing his phD in the group of Prof. Ian Manners on the synthesis of metal nanoparticles via metal containing polymers for the catalytic hydrogenation of nitrile-butadiene rubber. In his free time he enjoys sports, films, music, good food, spending time with friends and the occasional rave.
