Jeff McDowell

Jeff McDowell was born in Fredericton, New Brunswick in 1985. He completed a B.Sc in chemistry at the University of New Brunswick. He is currently carrying out graduate studies at the University of Toronto in the group of Professor Geoffrey Ozin with joint supervision by Professor Ian Manners. Jeff’s research applies the unique bulk phase self-assembly properties of semiconducting block copolymers in ways which facilitate and enhance the performance and fabrication of photonic and photovoltaic devices. In the absence of chemistry, Jeff occupies his time with hiking, paintball and scuba diving Canada’s beautiful east coast.
