Dr. Alasdair Robertson

Ally was born in Edinburgh on a fine June day in 1985. And twas 40 miles South of there he passed his first 18 years on the bonnie bonnie banks of the Tweed in the Scottish Borders. He then ventured Northwards to St Andrews University completing his M.Chem in June 2008, with a final year project under Derek Woolins on synthesis of novel transition metal complexes of the S2N22- ligand. Following a small cycle between Land's End and John O' Groats he upped sticks and moved to Bristol to begin his Ph.D with Ian Manners in October 2008, working initially on dehydrocoupling of amine-borane adducts. Outside of the lab he enjoys sleeping, playing football, playing some tunes on the ol' strum box and chilling out with his girlfriend.
