2009 Gordon Stone Lecture and Symposium, 4th November 2009

The Gordon Stone Lecture was established to recognise Gordon’s many distinguished contributions to inorganic and organometallic chemistry and the part he played in establishing at Bristol a major centre for teaching and research in inorganic chemistry. The lecture series is now in its 18th year.

Recently we introduced a new format and the Lecture is now the highlight of a short one day symposium. In addition to the Gordon Stone Lecture there will be contributions from colleagues in Bath, Cardiff and Bristol to produce a day in which we celebrate the shape that inorganic and materials chemistry is taking. We hope you will agree that the new format makes it even more worthwhile joining us in Bristol on the day.

All are welcome and there is no fee for attendance.

The 2009 Gordon Stone Lecture will be given by Malcolm Chishom from the Ohio State University. We do hope that you will be able to join us for what promises to be an exciting day and we look forward to seeing you.
